What’s New on the Farm!
It’s June! How did that happen?! While we were busy being grateful for all the rain and filling our freezers with fresh pork, June quietly crept in. And June isn’t the only thing that caught us off guard this Spring! It’s suddenly blackberry season! I know…it is early, but our blackberries obviously didn’t get the memo! The warm Spring has ushered in the blackberries a couple weeks early, so here we go!
If you haven’t tried our big, sweet, delicious blackberries, you’re in for a real treat! These berries are great in cobblers and on ice cream, but they are equally delicious right out of the container! And washing is optional! We eat them right off the vines because they are grown without any pesticides or chemical fertilizers! They’re just beautiful blackberries the way nature intended. And even though blueberries get a lot of glory as a super food, blackberries actually have more vitamin C, and a cup of blackberries has about 8 grams of fiber, so they’re pretty “super” themselves! Come by one of the markets we participate in and pick up a basket or two before they’re gone!

New Life on the Farm!
Spring is a time of new beginnings and new life! This spring, we’ve welcomed two new calves (a boy and a girl) so far! Gratefully, both are healthy and doing well, so the hard part for us now is finding names! All suggestions are welcome!!
We’ve also got plenty of piglets and chicks on the farm this spring too! And trust me, there are too many to name! But that’s okay, because they know they’re loved and well cared for, so to them, what’s in a name? A good root for a pig and a juicy worm for a chicken out on the green pasture would be just as sweet!

Market Square Farmers Market in Knoxville is filled with all your favorite vendors, including us! We’ll be there from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturdays!
Oak Ridge Market
We’ll be there every Saturday from 8 a.m.-12 noon! The Oak Ridge market is celebrating 50 years of operation this year! We’re so excited to be a part of this tradition in downtown Jackson Square!
Ebenezer Market
The Ebenezer Market is in full swing from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.! You can find us there every Tuesday at 1001 Ebenezer Road in Knoxville! Come say hello if you’re in the area!
