Pasture-Raised Laying Hens
We are so proud of our Ivester Family Farm eggs! We currently have 160 hens on our farm!
Our chickens are living the dream on the pasture all day, feasting on grass, clover, bugs, and all their favorites. Their free-range lifestyle makes their eggs more nutritious and delicious than conventional eggs. When you try our eggs, you’ll taste the difference!
Our hens have plenty of pasture to be free and live their best lives. They also have access to large, mobile houses with nesting boxes that transport them to fresh pasture every week. These egg mobiles are safe, dry places for them to lay eggs and roost at night.
Pasture-Raised Pigs
Pasture-raised pork is superior in taste as well as in nutritional value. Our pigs are in “hog heaven” foraging in our wooded lands and pastures, just as God intended. Because pigs are omnivores, we supplement their diet with quality feed from a local mill. They never receive hormones or antibiotics, and we use a USDA-inspected processing facility for all our cuts of pork. We try to keep a variety of cuts available all year round, including our delicious bacon and sausage.

Our four geese live with the hens and protect them from hawks by doing what they do best - HONKING!! Hawks do not like loud noises and will generally stay away when they hear our gaggle of geese! As an added bonus, we get goose eggs in the spring!
Our roosters do more than just crow! All day, they stand guard outside of the chicken fence, keeping watch over the flock. Their loyalty has no limit - neither snow nor rain will drive them from their post!
