Hello Friends!

What’s New on the Farm!

“The great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.”  -William James

The Legacy Continues!

There is so much excitement on the farm this Spring, where do we begin?  Perhaps we should start at the very beginning!  Over 100 years ago, this farm came into existence; and now all these years later, it’s being brought back to life by family members that are pouring their hearts and lives into it!  And as a commemoration of what was and what still is, Ivester Family Farm has been designated as a Century Farm by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture!  We’re grateful to those who made the farm what it is, and our goal is to continue the legacy well into the future!  For more thoughts on this story from Sam… check out our Century Farm Blog

Here a Chick, There a Chick!

In other exciting news, Spring is a time of NEW beginnings, and that is certainly true for us on the farm!!  We have 75 new baby chicks to add to our flock!  These blonde bombshells (a.k.a. Buff Orpingtons) are the perfect addition to our redheads (Rhode Island Reds) and our brunettes (Barred Rocks)!   Welcome to the flock, baby girls!!

MOO-ve Over, Heifers!

And speaking of new life on the farm, check out Daisy’s new calf, Rosie!!  Isn’t she a beauty?  We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome this little one to our growing herd!!  Rosie is feisty, healthy, and full of energy!  God has been so good to us, and we can only give Him glory for these miracles of life!!

Swine and Dandy!

PIG business is BIG business here on the farm, and we have several pigs on the farm to keep “bringin’ home the bacon!”  Our pigs live their very best lives while here on the farm, out on the lush, green pasture in the fresh air and sunshine.  They love rooting up the soil, eating, drinking, and being merry under a shade tree!  That’s why our pork is healthier than the pork in stores, with more vitamins and minerals, and no antibiotics or hormones!  It’s “pasture perfect!”

Back in Black…berries!!

Too early for blackberries? Not on Ivester Family Farm, it isn’t!!  All the rain in East Tennessee this past month is just what the blackberries ordered, and they are getting ripe and ready!!  As always, they’re FREE of pesticides and chemicals, so they’re extra delicious and nutritious. Get them while they last!!

A few early ripe Blackberries with many more on the way!

WE APPRECIATE YOU!!
