Hello Friends!
What’s New on the Farm!
Holly, Molly, & Dolly L-R enjoying their veggies
We’re having a baby!! Well, we’re not, but our cow, Holly is expecting a calf in the Spring of 2025!!
She’s doing great so far, eating plenty of grass for two and getting lots of rest under her favorite shade trees! We can’t wait to have a “little one” running around next Spring, and you can bet we’ll have plenty of photos!!
Guard Geese on duty for 2-month old chicks
Also, we just welcomed two new geese to the family!! Waylon and Willie, our two new ganders (male geese) have joined up with Conway and Loretta to help protect all our beautiful hens from predators, as they run around living their best cage-free, pasture-raised lives! Geese are good “watchdogs,” and we are grateful to have them on our farm protecting our young Rhode Island Red chicks!
Got Pork??
If you’d like more (a lot more) of our delicious pork, you can special order a quarter, half, or even a whole pig from us!! We sell quarter pigs for $7 per lb., half pigs for $6.50 per lb. or whole pigs for $6 per lb. When you place an order, we will send you our cut sheet, and you can choose your own cuts! Right now, we can fill an order for a half or quarter pig in mid-October, but after this half is gone, we won’t have more special orders available for delivery until next March! So, if you want to fill your freezer with some delicious pork to have for the holidays and throughout the winter, go to our website and order yours today!!
Speaking of pork, have you tried our pork chops? If not, you don’t know what you’re missing! We’ve had so many people stop by our booth at the Farmers Market and call us to tell us how much they love our pork chops!! We’re so happy they’re a hit, and we have a really great recipe (our personal favorite) to try with them on our website! We also offer a copy of this recipe with every pork chop purchase at the Farmers Market, so go to our website or stop by and see us on Saturdays at the Farmers Market to get this yummy recipe!!
P.S. If you filled out our online form and haven’t heard from us, we are responding! So please check your email and your spam folder for an Ivester Farm email or give us a call. We love hearing from you!
Here’s to hoping the weather cooperates for a good Fall Honey-Harvest!
Joke of the Month
What did the mama cow said to her baby calf? “It’s pasture bedtime.”
WE APPRECIATE YOU!!
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for stopping by our booth and supporting our local farm!!
We truly enjoy meeting and getting to know our customers, and we look forward to seeing you on Saturdays at Market Square Farmers Market in Knoxville!!
It’s been a really hot and challenging summer, but God has been so good to us and we are very grateful!
